Ando Sensei Clinics

This is a reminder of Ando Sensei's visit to Canada. Aikido Hiryukan is pleased to host Ando Sensei for a series of 5 clinics on Saturday June 27 and Sunday June 28. Please find attached the application form along with a map of the events location. Please note, as in the 2005 seminar, instructors are asked to forward their intent to participate in the demonstration as soon as possible so that we may accommodate you in the schedule and accord you proper recognition.

Aikido Hiryukan Summer Schedule 2009

NOTE: Throughout the months of July and August, the Thursday night senior children's class will be moved to Tuesday nights at 6 pm.

JULY:

MON July 6 - Teacher substitute

TUE July 7, 14, 21, 28 - Combined children' s class 6pm / Kenshu class is open training provided a senior member is available.

WED July 1 - Canada Day; July 22 - Teacher substitute

THU July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 - Senior Children's class - Cancelled.

FRI July 17, July 31 -Teacher substitute

AUGUST:

SAT-SUN August 8-16 - Dojo Closed

MON August 3 - Civic Holiday; August 31 - Teacher substitute

TUE August 4, 18, 25 - Combined children's class 6pm / Kenshu class is open training provided a senior member is available.

THU August 6, 20, 27 - Senior Children's class - Cancelled; August 20 - Teacher substitute

**NOTE: August 25 - Special training with visitors from Japan

CHILDREN ‘A’: 6 to 12 years old: white, blue and yellow belts.

CHILDREN ‘B’: 6 to 12 years old: yellow, orange and brown belts.

YOUTH: 9 to 12 years old: any level.

BASIC: 13 years and over. It is geared to newer students and those who want to perfect basic skills learned at the lower level.

REGULAR: 13 years and over. All regular adult members are encouraged to attend. It is geared to middle level students’ technical training.

** KENSHU: 13 years and over that are already regular members. It is a more intensive study. The training in Kenshu is serious and at times arduous. Anyone having taken their first test is permitted to join. It is geared for higher levels with a basic understanding of aikido.
